Unable to connect to github

The main difference is:

• GitHub.com: Cloud-hosted, managed by GitHub, with automatic updates and scalability. Ideal for ease of use.
• On-Premises: Hosted on your infrastructure, offering full control, enhanced security, and compliance but requires maintenance.

Your organization’s users have access to all repositories based on roles (e.g., read, write, admin). To switch between personal and organization repositories, use the profile menu on GitHub.com or configure access via your authentication system (e.g: LDAP, SAML) for on-premises.

You can use GitHub.com for public projects and Enterprise Server for private, compliance-driven ones. Switch between them using the GitHub UI or CLI with separate access tokens/SSH keys. For integrations (e.g: AWS Amplify), ensure the organization grants OAuth permissions in Settings > Applications.
