Microsoft EmployeeNo you do not need the connector to connect the desktop to a SSAS within your enviremont. Does your account have access to the Tabular models?

Thanks i think kdejonge is right, we don't need connector with Powerbi desktop.
I use my computer with my account, i'm sql server admin and i can connect to tabular model from Excel, SSMS but not with PowerBI live connection i can just import data from the tabular model.
