Unable to connect to SQL server
- Anonymous1 year ago
Hi Anonymous
Please check the following possible solutions:
1. Make sure that the server name entered in Power BI exactly matches the name on the SQL Server certificate.
2. Check encrypted connection configuration. Please refer to:
Configure SQL Server Database Engine for encryption - SQL Server | Microsoft Learn
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/sql-server#limitations
3. Try to use an unencrypted connection: Click File > Options and Settings > Data Source Settings.
Select the SQL Server data source you want to modify and click “Edit Permissions”. Uncheck Encrypt connections.
