In earlier step, when I got the following message: I hit 'OK' and entered the DB server info.

The Power BI Desktop I have on my machine is 64-bit.  Do I need to install Oracle client on my machine? I don't use Oracle DB on my machine, need this data source to connect to from Power BI desktop. Many thanks in advance. 🙂

@Anonymous , Install the suitable driver given on this page

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-connect-oracle-database

The driver will be zip, and readme in the zip has instruction.

Ast the end please add the path of the install folder to the windows environment path. If you miss that, it will keep on giving driver error.

you need to make sure that 64 bit oracle client is installed on your machine... if your Desktop is 64 bit, then it will not be able to use 32 bit client software
