Unable to connect to MySQL (Cannot load from mysql.proc)
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to connect to MySQL from PowerBI Desktop (Version: 2.73.5586.802 (september 2019). I already installed MySQL Connector/Net 8.0.16 and entered all the relevant settings (server, database, username, password). However when I try to connect I get an error with the following details: "MySQL: Cannot load from mysql.proc. The table is probably corrupted". The database is MySQL Community Server 5.5.58, and I can connect without problem using MySQL Workbench 6.3 CE and using the MySQL ODBC 5.3 Unicode Driver.
Does anyone has had this problem before, or has any idea on how to resolve it?

- MarioVWAdvocate IThanks for the suggestion.
I had already read the first thread because I had the same issue before, I already have MySQL Connector/Net 8.0.16 as they suggested in the thread. However, people talk about the x64 version of th connector which apparently doesn't exist. I searched everywhere in MySQL's site but only the x86 version is available. Doing further research I found that the x86 version is targeted for Any CPU so it should work in x64 without problem (I'm running Power BI x64).
As for the second thread, the server I'm connecting to does not have SSL or any type of secure connection, nor do I have access to making any configuration changes on the server. However, as I pointed out, I can conn without problem using MySQL Workbench and ODBC driver.- v-lid-msftCommunity Support
