Unable to connect to Google Analytics
I was ultimately able to find a solution, by using the FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION registry key to force the embedded IE browser component to emulate IE11, rather than whatever it was behaving as before. Added PBIDesktop.exe with hex value 2af9, cleared the cached credentials in PBID and "voilĂ ", it worked.
I'm still not happy that any part of PBID is still leveraging that hopelessly obsolete IE-based webview, but at least my users can work again.
Hi,
Are you able the fix your issue?
I'm not able to connect to Google Analytics through Power BI Desktop with my organization user account checked in different forum but no luck. Getting error message as follows and by clicking "Sign in", it's showing blank browser but earlier I can see my username. It's the first time getting this type of error. Please provide the solution as this report is in PROD and need to fix ASAP.
Hi jgibbons were you able to find a solution? I used the GA native connector but had some issues with my data sometimes. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your GA account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA fields:
There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
