Unable to connect to Github repo using Github(Beta...

Hello,

I am trying to connect power bi desktop to a github repo for which i already have access. I can open the url access all the folders in the repo and see all the files. But when i try to connect through power bi desktop,

Connecting from Github connector,

After i provide the owner and repo info, immediately i get this error message:

When trying from Web Connector,

It looks like if i use the rawcontent url, then im able to read the json file which i have in one of the folders in that repo, but as a whole repo im unable to read in power bi desktop.

Anyone tried this connection? and if you have any workarounds please let me know.Thanks in Advance.
