Unable to connect to Datamart using SQL Connector

Hello,

 

I am having issues with connecting to the SQL Connector of my Datamart, reason for not using datamarts Dataset is because I want it to be Import rather than Direct Query. 

I have followed instructions for creating reports using Datamarts.

In short I am connecting to the "SQL Server database" provided in Datamarts settings using SQL my Microsoft account as the authentification method and get this error:

 

 

Odd part is that if I try to connect to the SQL DB using Dataflows I can do that, but I cannot connect to Power BI Desktop. This seems like SQL Server configuration issue, but I am unsure if I can change it (since it seems to be closed down and configured by PBI svc).

 

Help would be appreciated.

      Tried both, same outcome.

      Had a colleague try it as well and he was unable to access with the same error message.

    Hi, I had a working connection in Excel but it stopped working today with above error message. Now I cannot connect anymore to the datamarts using SQL-Connection string. Seems the datamart is still a very early preview, they also break very easily had to recreate them a couple of times already.
    But I hope this issue will be addressed soon, had a report ready for release and now I cannot use it. 😞
