Unable to connect the Power BI desktop to MS SQL Server

Hi,

I am getting error when Connecting Power BI desktop to MS SQL Server.

It was working last Friday but stop working and giving error below

If your problem has not been solved, you can refer to the following, hope it can help you.

 

I found a post with a similar issue to yours, and one of the solutions was to try deleting the existing connection for SQL Server in the latest version of powerbi desktop, in the Data Source Settings (File -> Options and Settings -> Data Source Settings), and then try again.

The certificate on the SQL server expired.  Have them restart the server.  They will kick and scream, but when they eventually relent and restart the server the certificate will auto renew.

 

It is possible now to trust servers even with expired certificates but you don't really want to go there.
