Unable to connect error

Question

I am trying to combine .xls files in Power BI Desktop and am getting the following message. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Details: "Excel Workbook: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine 2010 Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read 'MMR MONTHLY H2032 - 2018-12-27-09-40-54.xls'. To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987."

Download and install "AccessDatabaseEngine" from the below link.
www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255&nbsp;
also simply save the workbook as an xlsx file and try again.
