Unable to connect Power BI to Oracle 19c database datasource

Hi guys, currently facing issue with connecting to Oracle 19C database datasource.

 

I have updated my TNSnames.ora file (located in network/admin folder) and pointing correctly to the destinations A (oracle database server 10g) & B (oracle database server 19c).

Was able to test successfully and able to connect and query using destinations A & B via Hyperion Interactive Reporting Studio.

 

However, using Power Bl, I am able to connect to destination A but unable to connect to destination B Throws an ORA-12170 "Connection timeout" error (error message details below). Firewall should not be an Issue as was able to connect to it via Hyperion.

I could not find solutions to this, therefore seeking help here.

 

Windows System

Oracle 10 & 12 installed

Power BI 64 Bit

 

Error message:

DataSource.Error: ORA-12170: TNS:Connection timeout occured

Details:

        DataSourceKind=Oracle

        DataSourcePath=B

        Message=ORA-12170: TNS:Connection timeout occurred

        ErrorCode=-2147467259

    HI WJ11,

    Any network or proxy mapping settings applied to datasource? AFAIK, if the requests need to be redirected or require any additional authorizations, they may affect and block the getting data processings.

    are you still having the same issue? also are you trying to rewrite the Brio Hyperion report in Power BI
