Unable to calculate next month Forecast

Good Day Guys,

I have data, date and material wise sales forecast. When comparing acutal sales with forecast i am unable to calculate next month forecast. please support, if required i can provide sample data aswell.

basically i trying to create a dashboard with month calender over it. every thing will be calculated over it. like calender date forecast and calender dated sales, i want one more column of next month forcast eg: column Jan-24 forcast column jan-24 sales column 3 feb-24 forcast. i  am unable to calculate feb forcast

What is the Forecast Value for February? How is it calculated? It would be helpful if you could provide the expected output and the logic used to calculate the forecast.

this is how i want to create my chart. sample data i provided is date wise and material wise and dashboard will run by calender dates.

Please try:

Next Month = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[Quantity]), NEXTMONTH('Date'[Date]))

Hi @Akbera1 

 

One likely reason is you are missing future dates in your table so there are not dates to as assign future values to. And yes, please provide  a workable sample data, your expected result from that and the reasoning behind.

i have future dates, unable to calculate it. check sample table

You have the sample data but what do we do with that? What is the expected result? How is the forecast going to be computed/ what is the logic?
