Unable to authenticate with Microsoft Account when loading data by SharePoint Online list

Issue description in brief:

 

power bi desktop version - sept 2020

 

Environment: I am working in an Organizational environment and O365 cloud using

 

Power BI Datasources:

1) an excel file in one drive - authentication mode Microsoft Account when connecting to data

2) Sharepoint online List - Authentication by MS account not working hence windows authentication selected

 

Current Status: After connecting both the data sources report was developed and finalized on BI desktop

 

Issue: after publishing the .pbix file auto-refresh of data not working because the share point connection showing an error and when we edit the credential only the anonymous option is showing. (Please help how to resolve the issue)

please note: for one drive connection edited and Auth2 selected which is working fine

    HI RahulM_IND ,

     

    Are you using a Power BI Gateway anyhow?

    If yes then make sure it's running and just check if the data-source is added to your gateway.

      I just had a word with my organization's IT help desk regarding the issue, they suggested installing BI gateway then adding the data source to the gateway which is similar to what you advised.

      I am currently in the process to get the gateway installed in my system once I test it surely will share the result and accept the solution
