Unable to Save Changes in PBIX File when shared

Hello, I have shared a downloaded PBI report with its tables into Onedrive and shared it with my boss so he can work on it and test his trials before I publish something he wants me to.  Unfortunate...

    Hello v-karpurapud ,

     

    Yes, the issue has been resolved.  It had to do with the outdated version of PBI my supervisor had.  He deleted it and reinstall the app and now he is able to edit and I published it as the steward for the online APP.

     

    I appologize it took so long to respond.

PBIX cannot be saved back to OneDrive from Power BI Desktop, and Microsoft only documents local save for PBIX. The safe way is he downloads the file and edits it locally.

Hi Kagiyama_yutaka ,

 

For me the actual file that aI use to modify the report is saved in my Onedrive where I have shared with others.  They do not have steward priviledges to publish to the app so I do it.  I able to always save it back to my onedrive.  My boss had issues with an old version of PBI on his desktop, once he isntalled the new one all is working.  Thank you for your replay.
