If a PBIX file is moved after saving, selecting the file from the MRU list in the Power BI Desktop application provides inconsistent behavior when presenting the error that the file can no longer be found. It behaviors correctly (asking if the user wants the item removed from the MRU list) if there is not already a file open (for example, if the user has previously done File -> New or opened Power BI using the application shortcut), but if there IS a file currently open selecting an item from the MRU list which does not exist only presents the error and does not allow the user to resolve the issue (so the "bad" item in the list stays there to continue causing problems later). Examples:
If opening MRU item from existing PBI Desktop session...
If opening MRU item from New PBI Desktop session...
Please fix this behavior so that it is consistent: always allowing the user to remove bad items from the MRU list if they no longer exist.

Here the steps to remove incorrect file link:
1) File -> Getting Started
2) Right click on the file name in the list on the left side
3) Choose remove from list.
