PowerBI stopped working 2 weeks ago. I tried uninstall and re-install, now I get this error.
Something went wrong
WebView2 Process Failed: ExplorationBrowser, Source:https:/ms-pbi.pbi.microsoft.com/pbi/Web/Views/ReportView.htm
ExitCode:-1073740760 Reason:Unexpected
ProcessFailedKind:RenderProcessExited ProcessDescription:
@Webview2
so about the november version. It was unchecked there when the December was installed.
Now I tried checking it and the november version no longer works.
It has something to do with EDGE.
New message, grey screen when PBI launches... "Compatibility problem"
An incompatible piece of software attempted to load along with Microsoft Edge. ....
I cannot uninstall / re-install edge, for some reasons unknown, but seems like an old version of edge exists, and I cannot replace it with the new version that requires webview2. I'm guessing.
Thank you everyone for all these ideas.. I'm lost.
What happens if you try to reinstall edge? I don't have admin rights to my computer but I can still install Edge.

however, my company auto installs, so the problem will come back.
There's a link in https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-installer-changes-webview2/ that lets you download an installer for web view 2. I think that should sort it.
yeah, tried all that, multiple times. Did not resolve.
@kozmar , check if your issue is same as this one
could be. I did what they said, uninstall and re-install the November version, and that is working.
It could be related to the Power BI Desktop infrastructure update that is in the preview features. I was having issues logging in starting with the November release unchecked that and haven't had problems since. Maybe try unchecking that and reinstalling the December update.
Proud to be a Super User!
it's definitly related, but I am unable to now open powerbi to uncheck.
If you're back no the November version you should be able to uncheck it there then install the December version.
