Unable to Filter VIsual using Rank Measure

Morning All,

I have a calculated table from which I have created another summerised table with single column for the slicer and then created a simple RankX Measure (cant do a calculated column) to rank whats left after the slicer has, er sliced!

All is well and good, and the Rank Numbers go, depending on data, from say 1-5 or 1-9 etc.

However, I want to put the data into various gauge visualtions and for each gauge show only 1 of the ranks. How do i filter this? If I apply the RankX measure, the filter wont allow me to type anything in (like 1, or 5)

I can't create a calculated column for this because the data changes frequently and the column will only change on a data refresh

So whats my best bet to filter the visual to show only one of the rank numbers (which is created by the measure)? No calculated columns please

Thank you

Hi  @BugmanJ ,

Whether you mean for the slicer to select a ranking after each Visual to display only the data of the ranking, you can use the IF () function to determine whether the measure for the selected ranking, is 1, is not 0, and then placed in the visual filter to set to 1.

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data. We can better understand the problem and help you.

Best Regards,

Liu Yang
