Hi,
I have a large data set and I am trying to group these into something is visualy presentable. I have a text field Portfolio Summary and a simple count of the issues.
When I use the new group function and try to bin them, the option is greyed out. Does anyone have an idea on how to do this?
Thanks!
The feature (grouping/binning) does not work with any live connection to PowerBI/SSAS semantic models and in PowerBI Service - only in thick reports in PowerBI Desktop - so it is pretty much useless for any enterprise reporting. Here is a tutorial on how to create bins. Make sure you are doing this on a numeric field.

Hi,
from this situation
you first need to select your data choosing them
next botton Group is abilited
Right but you cannot change the group type. Selecting on values doesn't help that at all.
Hi,
if you want to bin by number you have to bin on a numeric field (not a text field)
