Unable To Connect To Sharepoint Online Site

Hi there,

I am trying to hookup Power BI with my Sharepoint site, with the intention of accessing an excel file in a documents library to be used as a data set when creating visualisations.

In order to achieve this, I have been using the following link as a guide: https://powerbi.tips/2016/09/loading-excel-files-from-sharepoint/

However, when attempting to access my site via 'Sharepoint Folder', I am unable to connect and receive a '(405): Method Not Allowed' error message. I have also tried using 'Sharepoint Online List' and 'Sharepoint List', but they do not seem to give me the ability to utilize a particular excel file to create visualisations with.

There is no issue connecting to my Sharepoint site via app.powerbi.com, or by connecting to an existing data set in app.powerbi.com using Power BI Desktop. However, it would be great if I was able to directly link up my Sharepoint site in Power BI Desktop.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jericho
