URL link in custom text format

Hi,

I want to display a web URL in my report but in a custom text format rather than than its original 'https' form:

For eg: Web URL: "https://www..........."

On Display: "Link to website"

Clicking on this text should take me directly to the above mentioned url webpage. Is this possible in powerbi? Also, can this work based on dropdown fitler selection.

Filter choice1: A

"Link to website"  -> it should point to URL1

Filter choice1: B

"Link to website"  -> it should point to URL2

Thanks

Shubham

Hi @Anonymous

Add hyperlinks (URLs) to a table or matrix

And I build a table to show you the dropdown filter function.

Build a silcer by dir column and build a table visual:

Select A you can link to URL for A and select B you can link to URL for B. And the default link will be A.

You can download the pbix file from this link: URL link in custom text format

Hi RicoZhou,

Thanks for the solution. Does the URL's we use need to be in a specific format?

I mean, can I use local address for an image located in a shared network drive. Some thing like this C:\Users\exampleuser\Desktop\a1.png (or) U:\Folder1\a1.png

Is there any way to address these kind of use cases within table/matrix visual and make them clickable. Appreciate your help in this regard. Thanks !!

Best Regards,

Prudhvi

Create a column holding the names that you want as display links. Add that column to the table you want the links in.

HIghlight the table and select conditional formatting in the formatting pane on the right. Switch on "Web-URL" and then select the column that holds the actual URL-adresses.

@Anonymous , https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/power-bi-hyperlinks-in-tables

You can create a custom column like

new URL = "http://abc.com?Value=" & [Value]

Mark that as URL and follow the step

example : https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Data-Stories-Gallery/Blog-Analysis/m-p/1265567#M4403
