Two columns with different names but same source column

Has this changed by any chance or is it a bug? Is there a workaround?   The requirement is to have the same source column in the visual, but give it different names.

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    This is due to the design.
    You can create a measure and then modify the name by placing the source column and measure on the visual object.

     

    sales measure = MAX('Table'[sales])

Thank you for the clarity and the workaround.

I assume this changed because I believe one could have renamed the same field differently before.

I was hoping that I did not have to create another column which I would have done SQL side in my views.


I will close the post.
