Two Calendar Tables To Control Each Other

Hi,

I added 2 calendar tables both 1/1/2024 - 12/31/2025
Joined on Date with Bi-Directional relationship

Added Cal1 to Slicer with standard between calendar dates slider

Added Cal2 to another Slicer on same page with Year, Quarter, Month Hierarchy

I selected Jan, 2024 from the hierarchy slicer but the dates did not update as I thought they would on the other slicer
Is it possible to make the dates update to correspond to the hierarchy slicer?

Thanks,

w

    Hi, tecumseh

    You can try the following methods. The two date tables do not need to be related.

    Measure =
    Var _SELECTEDYear=SELECTEDVALUE(Date1[Date].[Year])
    Var _SELECTEDMonth=SELECTEDVALUE(Date1[Date].[MonthNo])
    RETURN
    IF(MIN(Date2[Date])>=DATE(_SELECTEDYear,_SELECTEDMonth,1)&&MAX(Date2[Date])<=DATE(_SELECTEDYear,_SELECTEDMonth+1,1)-1,1,0)

    Place measure in the view to be filtered and set it equal to 1.

    Result:

    Tested, date slicer does not work when it is in between style. Switching to other styles can work.
