Trying to have a subscription only push out when data is updated

Is this possible rather than having it push out every day even though the data is the same as the last?

I only want it going out to users if the data has changed.

What are the options for pausing report subscriptions when a data refresh fails?

I realize we can update reports to send following scheduled refresh once per day, but does this mean the report is sent following the refresh schedule or only after successful refresh? If the latter, what are some work-arounds, if any?

There is currently no support for sending subscription emails as soon as a change in data is detected (multiple times per day). For such kind of needs, I would suggest you submit an idea in Power BI Ideas: Ideas (powerbi.com) It’s a place where the product group collects suggestions from users to improve the features of this product. There are some special cases.

If the dataset is only refreshed once a day, you can select after data refresh in the subscription frequency, which will send the subscription after the dataset is refreshed.

If the dataset is only scheduled to be refreshed daily, consider scheduling the subscription after the scheduled refresh is complete.
