Trying to get average from this table
Hi, this table is from PowerBI and the Grand Total at the bottom is the average of this set of data by month.
I can't seem to create a measure that duplicates the value that's in each month in the average line. It's purpose is to change the font of the value in the table, based on whether or not it's above or below the average.
for example, in this data set, when I try to change the font in the column based on average, for January, it uses the average over the entire table (77.7) rather than the monthly average (Jan - 77.2). That's incorrect
as the record count increases, more months will appear. And I'll eventually have to add in a date heirarchy where the user can change the date columns from week, month, quarter and year.
Whenever I try to create an average, it averages for the entire time frame, not for that specific month. So as a result, it doesn't accurately change the font color

Anonymous what is your average measure? What is the expected output?
The average measure is the average on the last line of the table. The data output is accurate and working, but when I attempt to use the cell elements option in design, to change color depending on the average, instead of using the average at the bottom of each month (ex. January 77.2), it's using the average of the entire table, 77.7
Anonymous that's the question, what measure you are using to change the color?
That's the challenge.
In February you can see that the average in that column is 78.0 but the average of the entire table is 77.7
So when I apply the font to the column, it thinks that the average is 77.7
What I'm trying to do is use 78.0 as the median to determine if a column is above or below the average, but it keeps referring to 77.7. Because I'm having trouble creating a measure that looks at each columns average, not the average of the entire table.
