Trouble with the newest update in for publishing.

I am having issues with the newest publishing update in desktop. It won't let me pick a file to publish to and screen doesn't scroll all the way down and it freezes up completely. I actually have to open up my task manager to close it.

This is as far down as it goes it won't show me the whole box to make a selection. Any ideas of how to fix this would be most helpful. It was working fine last week and now this week it is doing this. In order to publish anything I actually have to use an older version of desktop that doesn't have the update on it.

The same thing is happening to many people at my company. It's because of the latest PBI Desktop update (2.129.905.0). This is the resolution for now:

  1. In Power BI Desktop, go to File > Options and Settings > Options.
  2. Click on the Preview Features section.
  3. Uncheck the box that says "Enhanced publish dialogs".
  4. Click OK.
  5. Restart Power BI Desktop.

This will return your publish window to the familiar one and you should be able to publish reports again.

Microsoft needs to fix this immediately!

Releasing and auto-enabling as feature like this is unresponsible, especialy as there is zero info in the interface on this new feature and how to revert it...
