Trouble with Line Chart

I am trying to produce a line chart but I'm having issues with it producing the correct information. Here is an example of my data:

When I try to set the line graph I am getting this as the results:

Here is what I have set in the fields:

As you can see, the total in the chart does not match the total on the graph. What am I missing?

I'm not sure what else to do.

@Anonymous you are at the year level and it will sum all the records for that year, if you drill down to date level, you should see the sum of the date.

That did help. Thank you.

But now the visualization does not look that great, especially when I add more UnitCodes.

Would you have any suggestions on how to clean it up?

I have created some slicers but it all looks terrible with anything else selected.

HI @Anonymous,

Maybe you can try to add a calculated column to group your 'unitcode' values as a subcategory, then you can use this subcategory on your chart legend fields to reduce the complexity of graph.

@Anonymous regardless of the data, visualization depends on what you are trying to achieve, if you have a lot of unitcode, of course, it will look crowded as you put it on the legend.  So it comes out what business goal you want to achieve thru data.
