    Thank you so much, the active hyperlinks were the problem!

     

    I just selected all cells, right clicked, removed all hyperlinks, saved the file and then Power BI could read the data :)

     

    p.s. Microsoft Power BI team, I think this needs to be fixed.  Power BI happily reads web pages and they contain hyperlinks.  Maybe allow an option to ignore hyperlinks in Excel files.
