Helper IITricky requirement for a slicer filtering
I have a slicer with Values from a Dimension Table Column and a Line Chart with a measure, Dates, and the Dim Table Column in Legend.
When I select a value in the slicer two things should happen:
- The selected Values Line in the Chart should be highlighted.
- The Values which are not selected in the Slicer should be renamed from their actual name to "Category A" , "Category B" etc.
I am not sure if this is possible. I tried Field Parameters but could not get a proper result yet
Your second requirement cannot be fulfilled as the legend items cannot be made non-responsive, ie you cannot prevent the user from clicking on them. That prevents the use of a disconnected table for the slicer. Your editing of interactions doesn't help either.

I tried using Calculation Groups and Field Parameters so far.
I also tried to use two overlapping Linecharts to achieve the highlighting of the selected Manufacturer, which is working good, but not perfect.
Turn of the Slicer interaction on one line Chart, put it in Background and turn on Slicer interactions on the Line Chart in the front.
