Hello,
That was my first attempt to use Power BI desktop and it failed...
While trying to read Excel file I got error dialog:
OK, according to the link downlowded x64 "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable".
Running it brings up another error:
Fine, but I'm absolutly unaware what are my 32-bit Office applications... I'm using Office 365 which is x64 bit as far as I'm aware.
Basically my question is - how do I find 32-bit Office applications installed on my Windows 10 machine?
Is there any command or tool for that?
Thanks,
Valery

Hi @vcherepanov
The Excel file you are trying to connect has the .xls format. Currently when connecting to Excel files, Excel 1997-2003 files (.xls) require the ACE OLEDB provider while .xlsx files don't. So if you could save the Excel file as .xlsx format, you may not see the first error.
According to the second error message, the App which caused installation conflict is Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component. To uninstall it, you could refer to Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component 64-bit Registration - Microsoft Community.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Jing,
The message in the error dialog was difficult to interpret correctly.

@vcherepanov , Please check program files (x86) in the windows installation drive. And check do you see the office there.
There are quite many Microsoft entries including "Microsoft Office". However no obvoius programs that can be uninstalled
@vcherepanov , Oh. Can you check add remove program or Microsoft store for any office installation entry
There is "Office" entry which I believe is my "Office 365". No separate Office Application installations besides that. That's why I'm asking for a command or a tool.
