Trend lines Month Name by year are not in ascending order.

Hello,

I'm new in power bi. I've created a trend line with month name by year, but they are not in ascending order. How to fix the problem? Thank you.

Note: I can't find anyplace here that I can upload my Power bi workbook. Sorry, I only can upload the picture.

Hi rpss650.
it can be done on 2 steps:
1. Based on the date column in your data table, you can add a month column with function("Month").
See attached picture 1.
2. You can sort your month name by this column. See attached picture 2.
To share a BPIX file, you can save it on drive and provide a link to it with edit options

@rpss650 Not sure I understand. If by ascending order you mean your months are in proper sort order then you need to use a numeric Sort By column.

Hi Greg,

You mean by using MonthNumber? But how to do that?  What I mean here by ascending order by month name should be like Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, .....Dec in one year in trend line axis. It seems Power bi can't do that

Thank you.
