Trend line /forecast line without using time on x-axis

Hello, I was wondering if there's a workaround for this. I'd like to "activate" the trendline / forecast line without using time as x-axis. (see screenshot below)

By using fiscal calendar (starting on April 1 which ends Mar 31 on the following year), it is often use Period or Quarter for simplicity. However, as you can see, if using Period or Quarter), I was unable to activate those nice features such as trendline or forecast line. If I were using Month, it would sort itself out starting from January to December. I can work with April until next

  • ANGLEUNG Yes those are only available if the x-axis type is continuous, not categorical. You can create your own measures to achieve the result, there is nothing else you can do about it.

Thank you for your reply. However the x-axis type would only let you choose whether it would be continuous, or categorical when it is under "date" or "time" category. With a specific "Period" like P3, P4, etc those options (continuous / categorical) would not even be available.

  • ANGLEUNG exactly, so you have to come up with your own measure, that x-axis type option will not be available for text columns.
