Hello,
it is great that MS enabled users to create their own visualizations. As I see Treemap as one of the really useful charts and I am not developer I am writting to you guys. Is here anybody who could tweak a bit Treemap and make it powerful chart? I imagine it as guys from DWCH do (https://community.datawatch.com/videos/1049).
So literaly in one simple chart you get full picture of your high density data.
1. you can see breakdowns(hierarchies) and simply do drilldowns
2. size of squares based on Data
3. color of squares based on Data (both based on certain aggregate function)
4. you can even add details to show in squares.
If anybody sees this suggestions useful and could develop it, it would be great.
Thx

1. Tree map supports drill down. Simply drag multiple fields into the "Group" area.
2. Size of squares is based upon the field that you put into the "Values" area and it is based upon aggregate functions
3. There is a Color Saturation area for tree map but I have never gotten it to work. In the format painter area under "Data Colors" the colors are based upon the data and you can modify which colors are assigned to which categories of data.
4. There is a Details area where you can currently drag one field. To get multiple fields, simply create a new column and concatenate your fields together.
Seems like the existing treemap does everything you want it to do except maybe the color. Or perhaps you need to download the latest Desktop version?

cant we put two different values on to the tree map visual with only just one square showing the two values , is it possible
Who decided this suggestion was an adequate solution. I beg to differ and is very much in favor of getting a Tree Map visualization that allows Group, Details _and_ Color Saturation.
