Transpose table by a spesific Date column

Hi.

I have a question about transpose function in Power BI.

The table above, looking at the data structure can be transposed by the DATE column, to be like this

I've been trying using the transpose function in the query editor, but the result is not how i think it suppose to be.

Can you help showing me how to use the transpose in the query editor to get the result like in the second picture?

Thanks.

  • Hey,

basically it's a good thing for the data model to have the measures in columns.

To achieve what you want, just use the Matrix visual from Power BI Desktop, drag the Month columns to the columns, the measure to values

And finally use the Option from the Formatting Pane of the Matrix visual to show the values on Rows

    Mark the Visual

Format -> Values -> Switch "Show on rows" to on

Hopefully this is what you are looking for

    Regards

    Tom
