Transparent background in tooltip

I have a custom tooltip, and I'd like the background to have a degree of transparency. I've seen that this requirement is documented. I hope you'll consider this because when displaying a tooltip, the information's presentation is compromised.

  • telesforo1969 Unfortunaltey, I don't think there is a solution for this. I remember someone asked about it a long time ago, and there was no way to resolve this, and I don't think anything has changed since then.

    Hi telesforo1969 ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum. Thank you parry2k  for your response.

Currently, Power BI does not expose any setting to control the opacity of the tooltip container itself. While you can adjust transparency for shapes and visuals placed inside a report-page tooltip, the background of the tooltip frame remains fully opaque by design.

The product currently does not provide a way to apply partial transparency to the tooltip background. If this capability is important for your scenario, I recommend submitting the idea on the Power BI Ideas portal using the following link :Fabric Ideas - Microsoft Fabric Community so the engineering team can consider it for future improvements.

    Thank you.
