i have excel file with date columns showing as below. How do i transform this in power query to date format.

In my experience this is how the data is dispaying to you and is not actually how the data is being stored. In fact, if you make that column significantly wider, I think the formatting will appear as you expect. That said, when you bring it into Power BI you will have the options to change the data type to Date. It really does depend on how your data is actually being stored and not how it is being displayed.

if i exapnd it, it is showing as big int number, and when i convert to Date, it throws error.
