Hi!
I'm using a tranformation table for the first time, and I want to make sure that it won't convert parts of words like Excel's 'Find & Replace' does.
For example,
Will all instances of TA be converted to T/A even if the TA makes up part of a word i.e. 'Atlanta' wil be converted to 'Atlant/a'?
If it does, I may have use spaces but I would rather not.

Yes and No.
things to remember with find and replace
1. It's Case sensitive
so "TA" is not the Same as "Ta" or "aT"
2. Spaces are counted too in find and replace
so Replacing " TA" (<- notice the prefix space) with " T/A" (again prefix of space) would change "BIG TAP" to "BIG T/AP"
have a play with it but in short, Word like "Atlanta" would be fine because it's case sensitive. My advice would be to replace all " TA " (space TA space) with " T/A " (space T/A space), then you're isolating all the TA's that have a prefix and trailing spaces.

Great info Karlos, thank you!
