Track Progress of calls per month through out the month

We would like a gauge graphic that we could use that would track if we were "on track" with the number of calls in a month.  Here are the basics of what we are looking for:  If the goal was 30 calls a month and we looked at the gauge on the 10th and we have made ten or more calls by then, we would be in the green part of the gauge.  If we had only made 5 calls on the 10th, we would then be in the red part of the gauge.  We want to be able to see if we are on track to meeting the monthly goal.  Then when the month is over it zeros out and we start on the next month.  

With how we have it right now, you are in the red until you hit your goal number.  I hope this makes sence.

You would apply some sort of forecasting, linear extrapolation, sliding window, any other method you prefer.
