Tornadochart

How do I change the Thousands Separator in a Tornadochart from a comma into a point so that it will be the same in all my visuals.

Hi @nottebti,

Could you please share sample data of your scenario and post a screenshot of your Tornadochart visual? Based on my test, when I create a Tornadochart visualization in Power BI Desktop, it will not display Thousands Separator(comma), below is my screenshot.

Moreover, you can edit the Decimal Places and Display Units in the right panel to display data label in different formats.

Thanks,

Hi Lydia,

Here at last a link with the screen views to illustrate the issues with the Thousands Separator and the problem where the average age for Men and the average age for Women is wrongfully summed up for “average age of all the students (Men and Women)” instead of being an average.

  1. The Thousands separator in the Stacked bar chart and in the Matrix is a point while in the Tornado chart it is a comma. The use of the Thousands separator is activated in the Modeling of the measure in the dataset table. The same problem occurs in the DonutChartGMO from the Visual Gallery.
  2. In the DonutChartGMO the measure “Leeftijd bij inschr” in English “Average age at enrollment” is 62 and thus wrongfully summed up in the DonutChartGMO while it is correctly 31,9 in the Matrix.
  3. In published report the format of the measure “Aantal inschr” in Enlish “Number of student enrolled” is 1,529.000 instead of wanted 1.529 as in the Matrix.

It would be great if these issues could solved.
