Top 5 record

I need to get top 5 partner based on SELECTED country  and on 2017 revenue. I have slicer for country which is from GEO table. Partner list is in Revenue table. Revenue table also has country in it and both tables are mapped.

This is what I am using

Top5 = TOPN(5, SUMMARIZE(ALLSELECTED(Revenue),Revenue[Partner Alias],Revenue[Country] ), CALCULATE(SUM(Revenue[Revenue]), FILTER('Date', 'Date'[Year]  = "FY 2017" )))

I am getting top result but not as per selection. It gives me top 5 partner irrespective of country.

  • Hi Anonymous,

    TOPN function always returns a static calculated table once it has been initialized. In Power BI, only measure can return conditional values based on slicer selection. In your scenario, you can create a RANK measure, add this measure to visual level filter and set its value to "<=5".
