Tootltip for specific measure column in Table visualization
Hi akkibuddy7 ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
To add a tooltip for a specific measure column in a Table visualization in Power BI, follow these steps:
Create a Tooltip Page:
First, create a Tooltip Page. This is a new report page that will serve as your tooltip. Here's how:
Go to the "Insert" ribbon and click on "New Page". On the new page, in the Page Information pane (from the right side), set Type to Tooltip. Resize the page to a smaller size (usually 300px by 200px or something similar).
Design Your Tooltip:
On this tooltip page, design the content you want to show when the user hovers over your specific measure. This could be a card visual, text box, or any other type of visual that helps convey the information you're interested in.
For example, you can add a Card visual that displays the result of your specific measure (e.g., the count of rows).
Set Tooltip for the Measure Column: Go back to your main report page, where you have the Table visualization. In the Fields pane, click on the measure (for example, Measure = CountRows(Table_Name)). Under the Visualization pane, go to the Format section (paint roller icon). Expand the Tooltip section. Turn on the Tooltip and set it to "On".
Add Tooltip to Table:
For the specific measure column that you want the tooltip to show, click the drop-down on the field in the Values section of your table. Click on the Measure (your Measure = CountRows(Table_Name)).Under the Format options, look for the Tooltip dropdown and select the tooltip page you just created. Now when you hover over the specific measure in the table, it should display the tooltip page you've created.
