Tool Tip , Colors in Power BI
Hello All,
I recently moved to Power BI. I have been working with Tableau from a While so I am having hard time with Power BI. Here are 3 thinks I am looking to do .
1. I have Total Used Budget and Total Budget column. Based on that I calculated %used Measure. Everything is good but I need to get %used Lable on my bar chart. See the attached screenshot. Dark Green bar is Total Budget and Light Green is budget Used. 56.39% is %used lable. How to add that %used lable in Bar Char??
so far I have reached to this point
2. I am also looking to add a filed in Tooltip that is not in the chart and removed all other fileds. I don't need a lable like Object or FirstObjectDescription. I just need Object number and Object Description.
I am looking for this.
So far I have reached here.
3. Is it possible to color 1 bar in mutiple colors like the one below?? It is same as Total budget and Total USed Budget but the Ttotal Used Budget has 2-3 difrenet category so I would like to dipslay each category and their ratio in color code.
I am sorry if this might be so simple to built. Any help here would be apprecaiated. Thank you in advance.

Hi @kgg1993
Thanks for reaching out to us.
>>How to add that %used lable in Bar Char??
go to format pane, and open Data labels
>> I don't need a lable like Object or FirstObjectDescription. I just need Object number and Object Description.
If you want to customize tooltip instead of using default tooltip, please refer to this article.

>>Is it possible to color 1 bar in mutiple colors like the one below??
For the following chart, the color of data color is fixed.
you can apply conditional formatting in tables and matrixes

Hello, Please find my question or solution in Bold
I have Total Used Budget and Total Budget column. Based on that I calculated %used Measure. Everything is good but I need to get %used Lable on my bar chart. See the attached screenshot. Dark Green bar is Total Budget and Light Green is budget Used. 56.39% is %used lable. How to add that %used lable in Bar Char??
Data lable only allows for the fileds that are in current Chart. I just have Total Used and total Budget in Chart not %used so I am not getting any option to add %used in Data Lable. I definately need an help how to acheive this.
2. I am also looking to add a filed in Tooltip that is not in the chart and removed all other fileds. I don't need a lable like Object or FirstObjectDescription. I just need Object number and Object Description.
I solved this by creating Custom ToolTip.
3. Is it possible to color 1 bar in mutiple colors like the one below?? It is same as Total budget and Total USed Budget but the Ttotal Used Budget has 2-3 difrenet category so I would like to dipslay each category and their ratio in color code.
I got this from ctrating mutiple measures and It gave me required result.
I do apppreaciate your help.
Thanks,
Krishna
