I have the following data:
I have a different date table listing dates from Jan 2023 to Dec 2023.
What I want is --
To have Richard in Cost Center 1003159 until 2nd April 2023 and then have him under Cost Center 12701 from 3rd April 2023.
So for example,
If I click (slicer of the date table) on Jan 2023 OR Feb 2023 OR Mar 2023 until 2nd April 2023, Richard should appear under Cost Center 1003159.
But as soon as I click on May 2023 onwards, he should appear under Cost Center 12701
How can I accomplish this in PowerBI?
Read about the concept of SCD - Slowly Changing Dimensions. There are some great articles about SCD on sqlbi.com
