Hi,
I have a question, which visualizations is best for showing missing prices (of 100 000 diffrents products) in power bi?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Sorry for that line chart cannot display dates with null values.
You can only use 0 instead to show it in the visual.
Create a measure like this,
Measure =
IF(
ISBLANK(SUM('Table'[Price])),0,SUM('Table'[Price]))
Put it in a line chart and the resultl like this,

@Anonymous - Perhaps you need something like an inverse selector - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Quick-Measures-Gallery/Inverse-Selector/m-p/648290#M325
Otherwise Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
I think maybe that I will plot a graph to see if there is a 'big jump' towards zero or something.. But I know for sure that I have (blanks)-in my data set, but it won't show - seemes like the graph summerizes or something I can illustrate an example here how my data set ish looks like:
Date. Product. Price.
2020-08-06 A (blank)
2020-04-06. A (blank)
2020-04-11. A (blank)
But the thing is,, when I add a slicer in to my deskop, I can't even find the product A - is that beacuse there is a Blank-value?
betwwen there is prices.
And when I plot it, it says that that there is a value that date?? why?
Hi @Anonymous ,
What kind of visual do you want to show, a table visual, a line chart or a column chart? What is the field in slicer, is it the Product.
When you put data in a table visual, it will aggregate in advance.
So you need to click don’t summarize, then the blank row will show.
If it doesn’t meet your requirement, could you please show the exact expected result based on the table that you have shared?

Hello, sorry for delayed answer.
Yeah, my data look like the picture you have attached.
But I want to have it in a line chart as well. How do I do that?

@Anonymous , The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.
But in such case, you should use table or Matrix
Appreciate your Kudos.
