Hello All,
Hoping I could find some suggestions.
I have been trying to connect Power BI Desktop to BigQuery via the Native connector in the Power BI UI.
However the connector always throws TIMEOUT error. Picture attached.
However, when I try to connect via ODBC connection using Simba ODBC it works fine. I was hoping if you can tell how I can go about resolving the issue.
Hi @amitchandak Any idea what specific permissions could be missing?
Cuz I have been connecting Power BI via SImba ODBC and it works just fine from the same machine. Its just not working from the native connector available in UI which I believe leverages REST API.
Also, we have granted all the necessary permissions too and have been able to connect from other BI tools too say Sisense and Tableau Desktop on the same machine.
@iprabhjot0376 , Please check the permission at Google big query side, I have faced these when I have not allowed the data access on the big query side
