Timeline slicer crashes visualswhen filtering start date
- 1 year ago
Hi vesc ,
If you are using any custom visual for this, try using standard date slicer for this.
If the issue still persists, raise it in the Issues forum-
https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
or if you have Pro license, you can even raise a support ticket-
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/support/create-support-ticket
Hope this helps!

I have the new version of Power BI Desktop now and the problem persists.
I am using a calender table. I get the above error as soon as I have the slicer interact with the matrix visual. Only if I remove the limitations in the slicer (so select all dates) the error disapears.
Now if I transfer the same POwer BI file to another environment, all works fine. Same if I upload the file to the cloud services, it also works fine.
Is the some kind of process that interfers with the date slicer or some kind of prerequisit that is necessary?
