Timeline Slicer to Filter Table

Hi all

Somewhat new to Power BI. I have a visualization that uses the timeline slicer to show a trend of employee count from Jan 2022 - Sept 2023.  I want to have a table as well that shows the location of the employees as of the first date of the timeline and the last.  My issues is I cannot figure out a way to filter the headcount measure to accurately reflect either.  I've tried using calculate function with a filter for MAX date but it reflects the headcount as of the last date of the location, not the slicer selection.

For instance, if the last date a location had headcount, and was therefore reflected in the data set, was April of 2023, it will reflect the headcount as of that date rather than the last date of the slicer selection (Sep of 2023).  Also The total in the table is accurate but the locations do not add up to the total and are not necessarily the headcount as of that date.

I've managed to create a measure that captures the last date and first date of the slicer, but when I try to create a measure to filter the headcount by the date of this measure it doesn't filter anything.

Any thoughts are appreciated and thanks in advance for the help!
