Due to the limitation of the regular PBI slicer with date fields (cannot have a slider if you choose week/month/year), I installed the Timeliner Slicer add-on (which is free, see link below). It works as expected on the same page, but it does not affect the other pages in the report.
Am I missing something here (being a relative new PBI user), or maybe it's just a bug/feature of this visual?

You need to sync the slicer to affect in other pages.
If you check the eye icon the slicer will be visible on those pages else you can just sync without displaying the slicer on another page.

As a temporary workaround hack, I copied the visual to the second page. When I pasted it, if offered to sync it with the source, to which I said, "hell, yes!". So now the slicers are synced. Ugly, but it works.
