Time limit for desktop file

Hello ,

Is there any way we can have time limit for powerbi desktop file ?

Like a timebomb feature.. if it exceeds the time the powerbi should popup an alert and it should close the pbix file.

Can we get this type of information using PowerBI Usage Metrics???

Hi @dia612 ,

As far as I know, there is no way to control the time available after pbix is downloaded from the service, what can be set on the service is whether the pbix file can be downloaded.

@dia612 , I doubt you can do that. Power BI desktop is a development tool and should be used for that purpose. Sharing should be done using power bi service
