Time Series Data with Details

I have two sets of data:

1. Time series data with rejection rates

2. Time series data with item lot numbers used

What I'd like to do is chart my rejection rates over time and then see which lot numbers I used during these times. 

I found a way to build a 3rd table to combine the date / time data and link the tables together, but what would be the best way to visualize this data?  A drilldown chart?
