Time Intelligence

Hello,

I need some help with a complicated time intelligence calculation.

Its been working perfectly within my graph, but as we push forward into 2024, as its "datesytd" this calculation no longer functions for the future data in year "2024".

I would like to show both 2023, and now 2024.

I have tried datesbetween, datesinperiod, lastdate, nextyear, I cannot make it calculate.

See the dax below.  I do have a calendar table.

Can anyone help me out?  Thanks!~

Forecast = CALCULATE([Rolling Inventory Calc],DATESYTD('Calendar'[Date]))-CALCULATE(sum('2023 Open Orders'[Bal to Ship/Invoiced]),DATESYTD('Calendar'[Date]))

@CathleenO , the table should joined with Calendar Table using 1-M join. Calendar Table should have date for 2024

You can get last year like

CALCULATE([Rolling Inventory Calc],DATESYTD(dateadd('Calendar'[Date], -1, Year)))

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.

Thanks Amitchandak,

So, as we are 2023, and the formula is fully functional for 2023, but I need to add 2024, would it work as follows? I will try it. LMK what you think.

CALCULATE([Rolling Inventory Calc],DATESYTD(dateadd('Calendar'[Date], +1, Year)))

Sorry, I recieved this message:
